Coal Creek – Tidy Town 2018

Published: 4 July, 2018 · Last Updated: 4 November, 2019

Coal Creek is entering the Tidy Towns competition again this year hence we have paid $400 to Coal Creek to finish incidentals at the “Auction Rooms” as the time frame is short.  The incidentals were in part out of the agreement and this is covered where Jacob Enbom the maintenance man will attend to these problems.  I believe that the building in question is perhaps the core show piece towards the judging…WORTH A PHOTO…impressive

We have since logged a grant for 10K with the shire to finance the balance of the total cost of 23K to restore the “Lands Department” building where Stuart Olsen will be engaged as commercial builder.

VIK will pick up costs for paint and painting

The Cordial Factory and the Auction Rooms have been done without any financial assistance but find we need for help to finish the 3rd building which is the Lands Dept. Office. We would like to have it restored to its original style as soon as possible so the building is again of service to the park…Before & after photo!

Friends of Coal Creek have about 80 members and are due to have a new membership drive to increase this.  A number of our members volunteer weekly at the Park and love to help with activities.
