The Korumburra Agricultural and Pastoral Society show took place in February over two weekends. The second weekend focussed on livestock including a return of the sheep at Korumburra. After a 12 month hiatus due to COVID 19 it was excellent to see seven stud breeders with a strong showing of Wiltshire Horn, Hampshire Down, Corriedales and Black & Coloured sheep at the show. All breeds were very well represented with some outstanding examples present of the 60 head of sheep on the day.

Champion Ram: Blackpond
Champion Ewe: Akuna
Champion Lamb: Blackpond
The Supreme Exhibit was hard to split between the Black & Coloured ewe and the Hampshire Down ram lamb. The two judges, Bridget Leahy and Kane Hildred deliberated and in the end supreme exhibit was awarded to Blackpond Hampshire Down stud for their ram lamb. “The ram lamb is an excellent example of its breed and it had everything we were looking for in an animal for it to be supreme champion of the show” said the judges. The Korumburra A&P Society would like to thank exhibitors, judges, sponsors and volunteers for making the show a success and we look forward to a bigger and brighter show in 2023.ASSBA publication The Muster – please note the footer of the publication has the incorrect edition – it is the May 2022 edition.
