Start the Skip Track walk at the skip sign located on the left at the bottom of Silkstone Rd, just past the gate to the Korumburra Transfer Station. Wander through regrowth forest and admire stunning large gums providing shade and shelter for younger trees springing to life. As the path follows the wandering Coal Creek, you’ll see remnants of a raised bed used for one of the skip tracks.
Half way through the track there is a lovely park bench where you can pause, admire the flora and enjoy the sounds of the abundant birdlife.
Many thanks to the Korumburra Rotary club for their efforts in restoring and continuing maintenance of the track.
