Welcome to Carinya Lodge Inc.! Established in 1970, originally as a Council organisation, our journey began with a noble mission: to provide homes for widows of the war. Over the years, we've transformed into a registered Not-for-Profit Organisation and Charity, dedicated to serving the community.

In 1979, we opened our aged care doors with 33 beds, offering a warm community atmosphere for elderly members with low care needs. Since then, we've undergone three major developments, expanding our capacity to 60 beds and enhancing our services to include specialty high care and dementia support.

At Carinya Lodge, our Committee of Management consists of dedicated volunteers, each bringing a wealth of expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our facility. Thanks to their guidance, we've become one of South Gippsland's most sought-after Aged Care and Retirement Living facilities.

Our commitment to excellence led us to embark on our most significant expansion yet, starting in June 2019. With an investment of approximately $10 million, this expansion has brought about remarkable changes. From adding 17 new rooms with en-suites to refurbishing 40 existing rooms, and creating new amenities like the Sensory Garden, four Independent Living Units, and a Community Garden, we're constantly striving to enhance the lives of our residents.
