Over the past few months there has been a program aimed at helping senior citizens with improving
the energy use in their homes in Korumburra and environs. Twelve homes have been included to
date and the householders have been assisted with advice about how to improve the comfort of
their house and save money on their energy bills. The visits (two per house) and reports to each
householder by an expert energy assessor have been free of charge. Currently there are two spots
left for householders to avail themselves of this service.
On Thursday, 27 June, a brief meeting has been arranged to report on the project to Korumburra
Senior Citizens. It will be held at 10am in the meeting room at the Middle Pub in Korumburra. All are
welcome. For more information about the report you could call the energy assessor, Rhys Freeman,
on 0409 536 995. Please text Rhys before attending to ensure that there are available spaces.
