Grow Lightly has some good news to share
Council has offered to extend Grow Lightly's lease at the Coal Creek Hub down on Silkstone road.
Council CEO Keren Ellis and Grow Lightly Chair Becky Banks along with other interested parties met recently and had a very productive conversation about the space and equipment needs that Grow Lightly have and the benefits that Grow Lightly brings to the community.
Council (re)confirmed they are very supportive of Grow Lightly and are keen to extend the lease so that there is more time to find a more suitable long term sustainable option to keep these good community focussed works going. Council will assist Grow Lightly in this search for a new location.
Grow Lightly is highly appreciative and thankful to the outpouring of public support that helped to demonstrate the impact that this community group has in the community.
The extra bonus out of all this is that more people have been encouraged to shop with grow lightly, or volunteer or share their locally grown produce.
What a great example of our community: Keeping Korumburra Strong.
